Q - What is the daily schedule of before and after care and what activities will the kids participate in while they are attending We Play? A - We believe that kiddos should be offered unstructured time to play. Our schedule includes outdoor play, every day. After an hour outside, we transfer to a nearby indoor play space. Indoor activities include Legos, crafts, pretend play, building activities, board games and so much more. Kids get to make choices during their time with us and we LOVE to see what activities they chose to engage in!

Q - Am I able to change the days that my child attends the program? A- If space allows, we are happy to accommodate schedule changes and we appreciate a month notice to simplify the billing process. Keep in mind that if you change the days that your child attends we may not have their spot available for future schedule changes.

Q - Do we get credit for sick days, vacation days or days that my child enrolls in other activities? A - Unfortunately, we are not able to credit families for missed days. This includes days missed because of enrollment in another activity. If you would like to change your schedule permanently, please email us with a month notice and we are happy to adjust future billing to reflect the schedule change.

Q - What do I do if I am running late for pick up? Is there a fee for picking up late? A - We understand that on occasion, parents run behind. If you are running behind, please send us a text to let us know that you’re on your way. We offer a 10 minute grace period for pick up at no additional cost. We trust that everyone will do their best to be on time for pick up as our program does not have permission for building use after 5:30pm.

Q - Are the early release Wednesdays covered if we are signed up for after care with We Play? A - If you have signed up for after care on Wednesdays, we also have you covered for the monthly three hour early release that PPS has added for professional development. Those days are 9/23, 10/23, 11/20, 12/18, 2/26, 3/19, 4/23, 5/21. Here is a link to the 2024-2025 PPS school calendar for your reference.

Q - How do I sign up for No School Day Care? A - We offer two solutions for No School Day Care. The first option is a monthly payment plan of $105 that includes 25 days throughout the school year and comes to $42/day. This plan must begin at the start of the year and cannot be canceled. If your kiddo is signed up for this option they will be automatically enrolled for all 25 days that we offer care throughout the school year and no other action is needed on your part.

The second option is a per day sign up that can be found on the Day Camp Sign Ups tab. The daily sign up cost is $60 per kiddo and care is from 9am-4pm at St Mikes Lutheran Church or Leaven Community Center, depending on demand and availability. Families must sign up at least one week in advance and the fee is non refundable but it is transferable with at least a week notice, space permitting.

The No School Days that We Play is providing care in the 2024-2025 school year are Aug 26, Oct 11, Nov 1, 4, 11, 25, 26, 27, Dec 26, 27, 30, 31, Jan 2, 3, 27, 28, Feb 17, March 3, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, April 4, 7

Q - What is the policy for inclement weather or other days that school is unexpectedly canceled or delayed? A - School days that are canceled are typically added back to the school year as make up days. We do not offer refunds for inclement weather days but before and after care for make up days will be included for your family at no additional cost.

Q - What happens if school is canceled early due to inclement weather? Is there still care? A - Most of the We Play team lives near the community that we serve. We Play MAY be able to stay open for longer hours or provide care, regardless of PPS school closure announcements. Be on the lookout for text and email updates from We Play if PPS announces that there is a change of school schedule due to inclement weather.
